Children’s dentistry

Oral hygiene habits should be cultivated from infancy. We encourage visits to our practice from a young age to set the foundation for a lifetime of good oral health. We focus on creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere for kids so we can ensure they always have a positive experience with us.

We find that many of he children that come to our clinic don’t want to leave! And why would they want to when hey have their own little chill-out room with a TV, a load of DVDs, books, and toys to choose from.

Every child that comes into see us always receives a special oral hygiene pack on their hygiene visit, a toy at every visit and can watch a movie/cartoon while being treated on our screens.

Our experienced dentists and support staff have a gentle and caring touch especially when it comes to children. We understand that for children going to the dentist can be overwhelming sometimes, especially the first time. It is important to prepare your children for their first dental visit by emphasising all the positive and novel things they will experience when they are here. We also make it a priority to spend time visiting children, child-care workers and parents in our local pre-schools to educate and prepare them for their first dental visit.

If you have private dental health insurance then all children and teenagers up to the age of 18 have ‘no gap’ to pay on all dental services which specifically includes consultations , hygiene (scale+cleans), polishing, remineralising treatments, in-office x-rays and fissure seals. For any other treatment you will be quoted appropriately after the consult.

For those without private dental health insurance, we cap treatment costs at $130 per child up to 18 years of age for their check-up in house x-rays,clean, polish, fluoride/remineralisation. For any other treatment we will always quote accordingly.

We also participate in the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Scheme (CDBS), for more information about this please check out our Payment Options section.
